Editing.
I'd say its the one thing that pieces a story together but that would do injustice to Audio and Visuals.
Though both of those can technically be classified under Editing too with Audio Editing, Transitions, and VFX.
I didn't intend to do much research on it. Or at least didn't expect to. But then I found this video
And learnt of the 7 laws of editing.
And then using stock footage from the internet and other things learnt way more than I had expected to. A lot of unfinished projects currently lie in my computer and at some point if I have time I may finish where I want to put these techniques into practice.
The point is, you can always learn something new, even if you've been doing it already for years.
In this case though #2 and #5 came naturally since I was the director and also the editor.I wonder if I do end up doing this professionally which one should I go after. Directing, or Editing?
Actually VFX is the most entertaining so it would probably be that.
Though its also the most time consuming and most of the time also much harder to do so...I guess I'll deal with it later.
Also, use online assets. Whenever possible. They save time and raise production value so much. The Film Opening I made wouldn't even be half of what it was had I not found the horror transitions.
